LAMM AT LARGE: America loves Shaq

todayFebruary 2, 2022

Who doesn’t love Shaq — as in Shaquille O’Neal?

Certainly Madison Ave. does. I don’t know what the record is, but I can’t find any athlete who’s endorsed more products. Shaq is more visible now than he was during his Hall of Fame career  that included four NBA championships.

He’s a regular on Turner Sports’ NBA coverage and owns (or has owned) pieces of several pro teams. But he’s most visible on TV commercials

There’s Shaq selling pizza and car insurance. And a pain relief lotion. And ink cartridges for computers. And what’s the product he’s selling with that little girl? I’ve probably missed one.

Oh yeah, he’s made several movies and appeared in several more.

There’s no such thing as too much Shaq.

LAMM AT LARGE: Nikola Jokic Goes Back to Back

We live in an age when the NBA is loaded with giants who run like gazelles and jump like tigers. Then there's Nikola Jokic. The  Nugget's 6-11, 284-pound center may be the league's most unathletic player. He lopes up and down the court and on a good day may be able […]
