LAMM AT LARGE: I believe in moral victories

todaySeptember 22, 2021

The media tell fans of higher-tier teams regardless of the sport there are no such things as moral victories.
I disagree. I’ve witnesses many moral victories during my career. I believe most fans have, too.
You can’t tell me most Gators don’t feel better about their team AFTER losing to Alabama than did after victories over FAU and South Florida.
After those first two victories against overmatched opponents, the Gator had every reason to worry, Florida needed the incredible play of backup QB Antony Richardson to win those games.
But they gave the Mighty Tide all it could handle without the injured Richardson. The Gators season looks much brighter now after a moral victory.

DJ Chark can't catch. Laviska Shenault is invisible. Thank goodness for Marvin Jones.  There are no tight ends in sight. The OL is mediocre. The 2nd-tier defensive free agents the Jaguars signed […]

Apologies are demanded. Butt-kissing is encouraged. The Celtics' Enes Kanter recently spoke out against China for treatment of Tibetans. That prompted […]

LAMM AT LARGE: Gators are a badly coached team

I've never claimed to be a coach or as smart as the men who coach for a living. But I've been around long enough to know good and bad coaching when I see it. The Gators have been a badly coached team this season, losing two games when I thought […]
