LAMM AT LARGE: This is the worst Jaguars team of them all

todayDecember 8, 2021

Background

I’m not an alarmist. I’m not one to declare the latest as the greatest or the worst.

I don’t call for a coach’s head after one season, certainly not after one game. My profession has taught me to sit back, observe and be patient. Let the game, the season and the coach’s future play out over a reasonable amount of time.

I’ve done all of those things and now I’m ready to declare this season’s Jaguars team is worst I’ve never seen — and I’ve seen them all.

There have been a lot of bad teams in the Jaguar’s 27-year history. Remember the Gus Bradly era?

I form my opinions with information, not passion.

The Jaguars have become non-competitive. They are worse now than they were at the start of the season. A roster of mediocre players. A coaching staff led by a head coach who is lost. There’s a danger of ruining the franchise’s most prized possession ever: quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

It’s mess.
