From the Gridiron to the Gallop: Who Are The NFL Stars Who You Can See In The Breeders’ Cup

Horse racing is truly the sport of nations. It is one of the most diverse sports in the world, where fans come from different cultures and professions just to get the thrill of horse racing down the track.

I think we can all agree that horse racing is much more than just a few horses racing down the finish line. It’s centered around fashion, money, and status, which is why it’s not strange to find A-list celebrities and athletes from different sports attending big events like the Breeders’ Cup.

On top of that, we have horse racing betting, which turns every regular sports fan into a hungry bettor looking for more. I don’t know why, but once you are on the track, you get that urge to place a bet. It’s exciting!

We’ve seen tennis players, football stars, and Formula 1 drivers on the track, but I think that NFL athletes are the biggest horse racing fans of them all. Every year, we see plenty of NFL stars attending big events, which inspired us to do some research on which NFL stars we can expect to see at this year’s Breeders’ Cup.

Wes Welker

Wes Welker isn’t just known for his agility and being a talented coach; he is also a big horse racing fan. Over the years, we’ve seen Wes Welker at my big horse racing events. His love for the sport grew to a point where he decided to invest in the sport and become a racehorse owner.

But unlike most other high-net-worth people who just invest in the sport and forget about it, We Welker managed to make his horse racing venture profitable and successful. He owns a thoroughbred horse named Undrafted, which is his way of combining NFL and horse racing into one.

Undrafted is quite a talented horse, and since it had the backing of Welker and proper training, the horse managed to win the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2015 with 14-1 odds. Quite a good payday for those who placed a bet on the horse, right? The Breeders’ Cup is yet to come, so you’ll have a chance to find a horse with big potential and place a bet.

But before you do, make sure to check out TwinSpires’ bonus offers and promotions. You should take advantage of every free money you can while betting. See the link below for the latest horse racing promotions: https://www.twinspires.com/offers/

Let’s go back to Welker. Will we see him at the Breeders’ Cup this year? Well, not with his own horse. He won’t be racing. So, there is a good chance that he will attend the race since this is one of the biggest on the calendar.

Travis Kelce, Davante Adams & Aaron Rodgers

Of course, not all NFL stars went on to become racehorse owners. Some are just simply big fans of the sport. We have Travis Kelce, who is a regular at the Kentucky Derby. Yes, the Kentucky Derby is a magnet for celebrities and athletes that want to be ‘seen’, and only real ones that love horse racing attend the Breeders’ Cup.

But we think that Travis Kelce shares a big passion for horse racing, which is why we think that he will be attending the Breeders’ Cup.

Then we have Davante Adams and Aaron Rodgers, who were also spotted at the Derby, or at least the Derby parties. These two were looking for clout, that’s for sure. There are no signs that indicate that they are big horse racing fans, but you never know. After all, they were regulars at the Kentucky Derby, so they might attend the Breeders’ Cup.

This shows that horse racing is still a cultural event. It’s not just about horses, but the social scenes, fashion, fine dining, networking, and highly influential people make the sport even more spectacular. This also inspires other athletes to join in with the crowd.

And we all know, once you get introduced to horse racing, there is no going back.

Terry Bradshaw

Terry Bradshaw, legendary quarterback and media personality, owns racehorses. One of his horses, Taken by the Wind, recently won the Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs. That win brings points toward the Kentucky Oaks and marks his continued investment in the sport.

This isn’t just about attending for Bradshaw; it’s about having skin in the game. When a former NFL icon owns a horse finishing in graded stakes, they’re fully part of the racing world’s high stakes, not just a spectator.

Tom Brady

Lastly, we have a big NFL legend that might be retired from NFL, but he still attends big horse racing events. In the past, we’ve seen Tom Brady taking multiple of his Patriot’s teammates on a private plane to Kentucky just to see the Kentucky Derby – as a boys day out.

He is a big horse racing fan, and since he is retired from playing in the NFL, we assume that he has more free time to attend big events like the Breeders’ Cup. But who is going him to take with him? Probably his wife? We’ll see.

Jaguars get thrown around in 20-12 loss to Seahawks

By Hays Carlyon The Jaguars have consistently been the more physical team in their first five games of the season. That ended Sunday. Seattle showed up and whipped the Jaguars physically. The Seahawks defensive front seven vs. the Jaguars offensive line was especially lopsided. The Jaguars allowed the Seahawks to sack quarterback Trevor Lawrence seven times in a 20-12 defeat Sunday at EverBank Stadium. In all, the Jaguars ran 68 […]
