First quarter

The Patriots got the opening kickoff and drove 68 yards in 11 plays for a score. Former Jaguar JaMycal Hasty caught a touchdown with Josh Hines-Allen in man coverage.

Second quarter

The Jaguars picked up one first down via Evan Engram before punting away, and the Patriots again marched down the field. New England eventually settled for a 41-yard field goal from Joey Slye.

Jacksonville finally got going on offense, as Trevor Lawrence completed a 20-yard pass to Christian Kirk before finding Brian Thomas Jr. for a 6-yard touchdown.

Jaguars 7, Patriots 10

After a questionable penalty on Montaric Brown, the Patriots went three-and-out. Lawrence hit Thomas Jr. for a 58-yard bomb to set up a Tank Bigsby touchdown.

After Jacksonville forced another three-and-out, Parker Washington took a punt return 96 yards to the house! Thomas Jr. hauled in the two-point conversion.

Third quarter

Jacksonville continued to hold momentum as it trotted 67 yards downfield on the first drive of the second half. Cam Little kicked a 21-yard field goal to extend the lead.

Fourth quarter

The Jaguars churned out a ton of clock, but when facing a 4th-and-1 in the red zone, Doug Pederson inexcusably decided to go for it. Bigsby was stuffed and the Patriots remain down by just two scores.

New England, of course, scored on its next possession by going 91 yards down the field in 9 plays. Luckily for Jacksonville, a Patriots receiver slipped on the two-point attempt to keep it a two-score game.
