First quarter
Tennessee began the game with eight straight run plays to get across midfield. Jacksonville eventually forced a field goal from 46 yards out.
Jaguars 0, Titans 3
The Jags picked up two first downs largely due to 29 total yards from Travis Etienne. A Walker Little false start set up a 3rd-and-16 and Mac Jones threw an ugly interception.
The Titans went three-and-out after an offensive penalty of their own. Brenton Strange started Jacksonville’s next drive with a 21-yard catch, and two Jones completions resulted in another first down, but a 7-yard loss on a Devin Duvernay reverse stalled the drive.
Second quarter
Logan Cooke, who was questionable to play, punted the ball 44 yards to Tennessee’s 8-yard line.
The Titans were able to drive 90 yards all the way to Jacksonville’s 2-yard line, but Will Levis threw three incompletions in a row and Andre Cisco (who didn’t start the game) had a huge pass deflection on 4th down.
The Jaguars went right back the other way as Jones made several first down passes. An OPI call on Brian Thomas Jr. pushed the ball back, though, and Jones threw another horrendous pick with a second remaining in the half.
Josh Hines-Allen strip-sacked Levis and hit him hard in the shoulder on the final play of the first half — something worth monitoring.
Third quarter
An 11-yard Tony Pollard rush was the only first down through five minutes to start the second half. Tennessee eventually found a groove as Levis completed five passes in a row, and Nick Folk knocked through a 39-yard field goal.
Jaguars 0, Titans 6
The Jaguars responded with a 14-play, 65-yard drive powered by four straight Brian Thomas Jr. catches. Cam Little kicked a 23-yard field goal to make it a three-point game.
Jaguars 3, Titans 6
Jarrian Jones channeled his inner Von Miller for his first career sack on a critical third down stop. Mac Jones continued to feed Thomas Jr., and Tank Bigsby plowed into the endzone on a 8-yard carry to take the lead!
Jaguars 10, Titans 6
The Titans had two different chances to re-take the lead and win with a touchdown, but the Jaguars held up. Victory Monday coming soon to Jacksonville!
