Background

The Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Miami Dolphins at 1:00 p.m. EST on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.

First quarter

De’Von Achane took a third down screen pass 39 yards, but Miami turned the ball over on downs four plays later. Jacksonville went three-and-out on its first possession of the game thanks to a sack by Calais Campbell.

The Jaguars forced a Dolphins punt before Trevor Lawrence led a six-play, 96-yard drive that started with Tank Bigsby stiff-arming Jalen Ramsey and ended with Travis Etienne in the end zone.

Second quarter

Both teams exchanged punts before Miami turned the ball over on downs again. Then Lawrence led another touchdown drive — 8 plays, 55 yards — that was capped off by Brian Thomas Jr.’s first career TD catch.

Jaguars 14, Dolphins 0

The Dolphins finally put together a scoring drive of their own, fueled by a 20-yard play from Jaylen Waddle. Achane punched it in from the 1-yard line to make it a one-score game.

With less than a minute remaining in the half, Lawrence found Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis for 15-plus yard gains to set up a 53-yard Cam Little field goal.

Third quarter

Jacksonville went three-and-out to start the second half, but they got the ball right back after Arik Armstead notched his first sack as a Jaguar on third down.

Both teams traded three-and-outs before the Jaguars got into the red zone, but Etienne fumbled at the 1-yard line to give the Dolphins possession. On the next play, Tyreek Hill scored an 80-yard touchdown.

Fourth quarter

The Jaguars had a failed fourth-down conversion that was followed by a missed 42-yard field goal by the Dolphins.

After a Jacksonville punt, Miami marched 73 yards down the field in 12 plays. Jason Sanders made a 37-yard field goal to tie the game.

Jaguars 17, Dolphins 17

The Jaguars went three-and-out and Sanders made a 52-yard field goal to win it for the Dolphins as time expired.
