Background

Dave Campo is a longtime acclaimed American football coach and former player. Currently a consultant for the USC Trojans football, team, Campo served as the head coach for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL) from 2000 to 2002. Campo coached under Jimmy Johnson at the University of Miami when the team won a national championship in 1987. He followed Johnson to the Cowboys winning three Super Bowls as a defensive backs coach for the team in 1992, 1993 and defensive coordinator in 1995. He became head coach for the Cowboys in 2000, serving in that role for three years. Campo later coached for the Jacksonville Jaguars as an assistant head coach under Jack Del Rio. Apart from his current role working closely with defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast, Dave makes time to share his insights and experiences with various media, including 1010 XL/92.5 FM.
