Jaguars owner Shad Khan made his first public comments involving coach Urban Meyer’s stunning lack of judgment following Thursday night’s loss at Cincinnati.

Meyer didn’t fly back to Jacksonville with the team. A video of Meyer engaged in inappropriate conduct with another woman at a bar in Columbus, Ohio then surfaced on social media.

Khan released the following statement Tuesday morning.

“I have addressed this matter with Urban. Specifics of our conversation will be held in confidence. What I will say is his conduct last weekend was inexcusable. I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere. Now, he must regain our trust and respect. That will require a personal commitment from Urban to everyone who supports, represents or plays for our team. I am confident he will deliver.”

The Jaguars are 0-4 and host Tennessee on Sunday.
