Background

The Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3) take on the Tennessee Titans (3-6) at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday at EverBank Stadium.

Follow along here for live updates and key highlights from the game!

First quarter

The Jaguars won the coin toss and elected to defer. Adam Gotsis made a nice play in lieu of DaVon Hamilton (healthy inactive) to help set up third down, and Foye Oluokun notched his third sack in eight days to force a three-and-out. Calvin Ridley picked up a first down before the Jaguars punted back to the Titans.

Tennessee picked up its first first down of the game with an 11-yard pickup by DeAndre Hopkins, then Chris Moore took an end around for 38 yards. Two plays later, though, Will Levis dropped a bad snap and Oluokun came up with the recovery.

Jacksonville put together an 8-play, 57-yard drive that was capped by a 3-yard touchdown to Ridley.

Jaguars 7, Titans 0

Second quarter

Tennessee responded with a 13-play, 34-yard drive of their own that was extended by an offsides penalty on Tank Bisgby during a punt return. Fortunately, Josh Allen and Andre Cisco split a sack on third down to force another punt.

The Jaguars churned out another lengthy drive, going 77 yards in 11 plays to kick a 30-yard field goal. Zay Jones drew a crucial pass interference penalty that was directly followed by an 18-yard reverse by Ridley. Jacksonville is 2/2 in the red zone today.

Jaguars 10, Titans 0

Jacksonville forced a three-and-out on Tennessee’s ensuing possession before getting the ball back with two minutes left in the half. The Jaguars drove 65 yards downfield in 11 plays, highlighted by a 34-yard completion to Ridley down the sideline. Brandon McManus nailed a 25-yard field goal to extend the lead.

Jaguars 13, Titans 0

Third quarter

Another Jaguars possession, another long scoring drive. Jacksonville received the second half kickoff and went 73 yards in 9 plays; Trevor Lawrence finished it off with a 9-yard rushing touchdown.

Jaguars 20, Titans 0

This one is getting ugly, folks. Tennessee went three-and-out following three straight tackles by Devin Lloyd, and Lawrence proceeded to make three 15-plus yards throws — including a 20-yard touchdown to Ridley — to turn the game into a full-on blowout.

Jaguars 27, Titans 0

My bad, my bad. I jinxed the Jags. K’Lavon Chaisson wrapped up Levis for a third down sack, but he was called for a roughing the passer penalty to give Tennessee a fresh set of downs. Levis dropped a bomb into Hopkins’ hands for a 43-yard score on the very next play.

Jaguars 27, Titans 7

Fourth quarter

Jacksonville went three-and-out on its next possession, but long snapper Ross Matiscik recovered a fumble on the punt return. 9 plays and 36 yards later, Lawrence rushed for another touchdown, his fourth total today.

Jaguars 34, Titans 7

Tennessee responded with a 5-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a 2-yard pass to Justin Simmons.

FINAL SCORE: Jaguars 34, Titans 14

There’s no doubt in my mind a staffer on the Michigan football team spied on opponents

There's no doubt in my mind a staffer on the Michigan football team spied on opponents.   I believe Head Coach Jim Harbaugh knew what was going on.   That's cheating.   But I believe it's a common practice, one the NCAA traditionally has ignored. You think the NCAA knows about the $100 handshakes with players and recruits most big-time school boosters hand out all the time? Sure it does, […]
