LAMM AT LARGE: End of The Year Notes

todayJanuary 4, 2023

Background
Like most of my colleagues, I’ve always done an end of the year piece reviewing the past year.
Unlike most of my colleagues, I don’t necessarily just write about the biggest or most important stories. I talk about what left a lasting impression on me.
The late season run by the Jaguars was outstanding, but the vast improvement of quarterback Trevor Lawrence won’t be forgot.
The battle to get out of bounds by Jaguars tight Evan Engram late in the Cowboys that stopped the clock and saved the Jaguars a timeout. It was the biggest play of the game — and the season.
The birth of LIV Golf that shook up the PGA Tour more than anything ever has.
The hypocrisy of LeBron James.
The disappointing start of Coach Mario Cristobal career as the Hurricanes’ head football coach.
The collapse of the Super Bowl champion LA Rams.
The beginning, perhaps, of another outstanding run by the football Seminoles.
 Tom Brady’s sad farewell song.
MLB free agent contracts run amuck.
My favorite people of the year: golfer Rory McIlroy, FSU quarterback Jordan Travis and you, 1010XL listeners.
