The PGA Tour can’t get a break

todayFebruary 15, 2024

The PGA Tour can’t get a break. It’s showcase San Diego event was a bad weather, brawling mess that didn’t end until nearly halftime of the Super Bowl. The even bigger Pebble Beach, too, had weather delays, and it was played on an off weekend in the NFL playoffs.

So now the Tour hits L.A. and Tiger Woods is playing for the first time in nearly a year. His swing is back. Can his legs hold up?

Will the Tour finally get a break and draw one of its largest TV audiences of the year?

That had better happen or the already-stressed out suits in Ponte Vedra will be headed to the ocean with weights around their ankles.

Even with the on-going battle with LIV Golf, the Tour is loaded with bright young stars. Plus Tiger is wearing his new clothing apparel this week. The SWOOSH is now old news.

Imagine Tiger winning or even contending. Better get your tickets to The Players and make no plans for Masters week.

I hope it happens. The Tour needs a good break.
