LAMM AT LARGE: First Coast Fans are Feeling Good

Almost everyone I’ve run into this week had a little extra skip in their walk, a brighter sparkle in their eyes and a wider smile than usual.
That’s because football fans — that’s nearly everyone on the First Coast, right? — had a weekend to remember.
All three of the state’s NFL teams won; FSU, Florida and UCF won. Across our northern border, both Georgia and Georgia Tech won. It wasn’t perfect in the two states. The Falcons lost a heart-breaker.
The key, of course, was the Jaguars’ 27-20 victory over the Raiders. This time that Jaguars didn’t blow a 4th quarter lead. Credit the defense.
No team was more impressive than Georgia. The Bulldogs controlled the game and beat No. 1 ranked Tennessee 27-13.
It looked like to me some of the people I ran into were still celebrating.
