LAMM AT LARGE: FSU vs UF is Going to Be Fun This Year

Background
On the way to the outhouse, the Seminoles and Gators were quietly invited into the main house. Not the lavish master bathroom, but not the mini-hall bathroom either.
Both of the state’s biggest football programs have turned miserable seasons into seasons that show promise for the future.
Few teams have been more impressive than FSU in recent weeks. They halted an ugly 4-game losing streak by winning 3 straight, two on the road, by a combined score of 127-22. That’s 127-22.
Coach Mike Norvell has gone from the hot seat to positioning himself for a nice raise.
Meanwhile, the Gators have clearly played their best football in the last two weeks. The defense woke up and QB Antony Richardson started playing up to his preseason press clippings. Take note: the 6-4 Gators have beaten one top 10 team, Utah, and lost to three of the nation’s top 6 teams.
I’m now excited about the FSU-Florida game.
