LAMM AT LARGE: Grades Before the Test is Taken

Background

Sports is one of the few places where grades are handed out before tests have been taken. Maybe the only place.

College recruiting classes are graded before any of the recruits enrolled in school. NFL draft classes are given grades before any of the players draw a paycheck.

I’ll admit I wasn’t impressed with the Jaguars draft. Honestly, I only recognized the names of two of the Jaguars’ 13 draftees: Auburn running back Tank Bigsby and Florida linebacker Ventrell Miller.

What does that mean? Well, nothing.
