LAMM AT LARGE: I Can’t Get Behind The Saudi Tour

Background
I’ve waffled back and forth on the ongoing story of the PGA Tour vs. Greg Norman and his Saudi-funded tour. Both made some good points. Let’s say I was leaning 70-30 in favor of the PGA Tour.
That changed last week when Norman, as he’s been wont to do throughout his incredible careers in golf and business , stepped on his tongue. Isn’t it interesting that Norman hand-picked Phil Mickelson as his American spokesman? Who has misspoken more than Lefty?
When asked about the Saudis’ human rights violations — specifically the murder of a Washington Post columnist whose body was cut into pieces – Norman went brain dead and replied, ‘We’ve all made mistakes.”
Uh? .  . . What? . . . Yeah, you heard that right.
I’m now 100 percent behind the PGA Tour. I’ll begrudgingly understand if some older players well past their prime and some struggling young players go for the Saudi money-grab.
Well, actually, I won’t.
