LAMM AT LARGE: LIV is Winning

todaySeptember 6, 2022

Background
Like it or not LIV golf is winning its battle with the PGA Tour. That will be obvious in a couple weeks with the playing of the President’s Cup at Quail Hollow in Charlotte.
The American team won’t be hurt that much even with the loss of Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka. All three were in slumps.
The American lineup of Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Xander Schauffele, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns and Tony Finau is a powerful group. Captain Davis Love’s likely picks include  Jordan Spieth, Colin Morikawa, Max Homa and Billy Horschel. They make the Americans big favorites.
It’s the International team that has been hit hard by LIV golf. Cam Smith and Joaquin Niemann would have been its top two players. Louis Oosthuizen, Marc Leishman, Abraham Ancer, Carlos Ortriz and Brandan Grace would have been on the team.
noow, Hideki Matsayama, Canadian Cory Connors and young South Koreans Tom Kim and Sungjae Im now lead Captain Trevor Immelman’s team. No match against team USA,
