The NBA’s hierarchy is gutless.Criticize America, no big deal. May even get a few attaboys. Criticize Communist China, the land of slavery and human suffering. and alarms go off. Apologies are demanded. Butt-kissing is encouraged.The Celtics’ Enes Kanter recently spoke out against China for treatment of Tibetans. That prompted China to take Celtics’ games off all of its media. Did I mention China pays the NBA millions, maybe billions, for those media rights? China also took 76ers games off because the 76ers owner criticized China. The owner apologized to no avail at this point.LeBron is one player who has spoken out in favor of China. Did I mention LeBron has a major financial stake in China?Anything for the almighty dollar, including the integrity of the NBA and some of its biggest stars. It’s shameful.
