LAMM AT LARGE: Olympic athletes are great, but I’m not watching

I didn’t lie. I haven’t watched one second of the Olympics. It’s my personal protest of China, the host country, and NBC, which wouldn’t dare say anything against China.

But I have seen the highlights on the various sports networks.

My takeaway is I don’t think we appreciate the incredible athleticism of the athletes – from the ice skaters to the skiers to the snowboarders and so on.

There are far more people who can play football, basketball, baseball etc. than can perform these Olympic sports at the highest level.

I just wish the Games were being played elsewhere.
