LAMM AT LARGE: The Portal Has Arrived

todayMay 5, 2022

Background
More and more colleges athletes are transferring every day. The biggest reason is, basically, there are no more rules to stop them from making a change in scenery.
With transferring so easy and without punishment, there are several other reasons players are moving like circus folks do.
Those reasons are:
1. Playing time.
2. Coaching changes.
3. Moving closer to family.
4. Moving up or down in divisions.
Athletes are moving in every sport, men’s and women’s. School loyalty is deader than free speech.
I’m not criticizing but that doesn’t mean I like it, but, yes, free agency has arrived in college sports.
