Mia O’Brien

Mia O’Brien first began appearing on 1010XL in February 2021, joining the staff full-time as the Director of Multimedia Production and On-Air Personality in April 2022. She previously worked as a Sports Anchor/Reporter at First Coast News. She covers any and everything sports here in Northeast Florida, from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the PGA Tour to college sports to prep sports. Before coming to the Sunshine State, Mia worked for three years at KGAN/KFXA in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, also as a Sports Anchor/Reporter. Mia had the opportunity to cover the Hawkeyes’ 2015 Rose Bowl season her first year in Iowa, as well as multiple NCAA Tournament’s (the highlight being Northern Iowa’s buzzer-beater win over Texas in 2016). Mia graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communications in May 2015, where she served as Senior Class President and one of the lead on-air talent for Ithaca College Television and 92 WICB. She is originally from Freehold, New Jersey (can you name the other famous native?) and, no, it’s called Pork Roll, not Taylor Ham (much to her North Jersey-native parents’ chagrin).

Tony Smith

The co-host of Jaguars Today, Tony has worked on the show since it began in 2014 when 1010 XL became the Official Flagship Station for the Jacksonville Jaguars. On Jaguars’ game days, Tony hosts 1010 XL’s Kick Off Show and also works on the Jaguars Radio Network pre- and post-game coverage. He is also the play-by-play voice of the nationally recognized Bolles Bulldogs high school football program. Tony is a Wolfson High School alum and a graduate of Liberty University.

Mike Dempsey

Mike is a graduate of Flagler College in St. Augustine with over 25 years of experience in sports radio. Mike is a nationally renowned Fantasy Football Expert, and also hosts Fantasy Football shows on Sirius XM and the NFL Network, in addition to Jaguars Today. Mike has been broadcasting on 1010 XL/92.5 FM since its inception in 2007.

Steve Bute

Steve “Beef” Bute has been part of the Jacksonville sports radio scene for over 15 years and has produced The Drill with Dan Hicken and Jeff Prosser since 2005. A native of the Chicago area, Beef has been in Jacksonville since 2001 and possesses a love for all things sports, as well as an encyclopedic knowledge of pop culture. When not talking sports, Steve fancies himself an obedient husband, a loving father and a terrible golfer.

Jeff Prosser

Jeff, a University of Florida graduate, has been a preeminent member of the Jacksonville sports media for over 20 years. An Emmy and AP Award-Winning TV Sports Reporter and Anchor, Jeff is the “Driver” of The Drill, known for his intelligent analysis, passionate opinions, quick wit and edginess. He has been broadcasting on 1010 XL/92.5 FM since its inception in 2007.

Dan Hicken

Dan is a one of the First Coast’s most recognized sports personalities. He has worked in sports broadcasting in Jacksonville since graduating from the University of Florida in the mid-1980’s including as Evening Anchor and Sports Director for WTLV/WJXX from 1986 – 2013 Senior Sports Anchor for WJAX-TV/WFOX-TV from 2013-present. Dan has been broadcasting on 1010 XL/92.5 FM since its inception in 2007.

Leon Searcy

Former Jaguars Offensive Lineman Leon Searcy joins the “XL Primetime” crew every weekday from 12:00 PM -1:30 PM for Lunch with Leon. Leon is a beloved and respected former NFL All-Pro offensive lineman, an All-American for the University of Miami who was a first round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Steelers, before playing for the Jacksonville Jaguars. His perspective as a player provides compelling radio.

Ryan Green

Ryan “The Hacker” Green has been part of the sports radio landscape in Jacksonville since August 2002. Hacker began his career in radio as a producer, then became an on-air contributor and ultimately, a show host. A graduate of Wolfson High School and the University of North Florida, ‘Hack’ has covered all of the local sports teams including the Jacksonville Jaguars, Florida Gators, Florida State Seminoles and even local high schools. Hacker has been part of 1010 XL/92.5 FM since the station launched in April 2007.

Hays Carlyon

Hays is a Jacksonville native who graduated from The Bolles School in 1994. He attended the University of Florida for three years before graduating from UNF in 1999. In addition to his co-hosting duties on The Frangie Show, Hays has spent the last four seasons as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ beat writer for 1010 XL and co-host of the 1010 XL Kick Off Show on Jaguars’ game days.
