Three weeks ago, Jake Browning was a third-string Bengals quarterback with a bad start on his resume. Two weeks ago, he looked like Joe Montana in his prime, leading Cinncinati to a 34-31 overtime victory over the Jaguars.

 

Two weeks ago, Joe Flacco was watching the NFL at home on his couch. Sunday, he became the Browns’ 4th starting quarterback this season and looked like the former Super Bowl winner he is in leading the Browns to a 31-27 victory over the Jaguars.

 

The wonderful season the Jaguars defense was having has gone south in a flash. Meanwhile, who knew the absence of injured wide receiver Christian Kirk would leave such a hole in the Jaguars’ offense?

 

With any luck, when the Ravens come to Jacksonville this week, quarterback Lamar Jackson — one of the league’s best — will be healthy.
