I don’t think anyone looks forward to playing the Jaguars

Maybe for the first time ever I agree with fans who’ve whined for years that the Jaguars don’t get much respect in the national media.

It’s midseason and the Jaguars (6-2) have the third-best record in the AFC behind the Chiefs and the Ravens, both 7-2; tied with the Lions for fourth-best record overall. You might not know that if you don’t live on the First Coast.

I understand the Jaguars being ignored for years. They were lousy. But they made the playoffs last year and won a game. They now have a Super Bowl-winning coach in Doug Pederson, an ascending young QB in Trevor Lawrence, one of the best RBs in Travis Etienne, one of the best group of receivers, and a defense playing lights out. What’s not to like? Sure they still have games against the Bengals and Browns. The 49ers are up this week.

But for a change, I don’t think anyone looks forward to playing the Jaguars. The national media might want to check that out.
