LAMM AT LARGE: I’m Not a Lebron Fan

todayDecember 9, 2022

Background
I used to be a big Lebron James fan, calling him the best basketball player ever, even better than that guy from my alma mater, UNC. Yeah, that guy named Michael Jordan.
Now I wouldn’t pour a glass of water on James if he was on fire. There’s nothing I despise more than a hypocrite and LeBron is the biggest hypocrite I know.
After a Lakers’ game last week James, unprompted, compared a recently surfaced photograph of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones at a desegregation protest to Kyrie Irving, who was suspended and fined for sharing anti-semitic content on social media. James also pointed out Jones threatened his players if they didn’t stand in wake of Colin Kapernick kneeling for the national anthem.
James repeatedly played the race card.
Now, about that photo of Jones. It was taken in 1957 — 65 years ago — when Jones was a 7th grader in Little Rock. Are you kidding me?
This is the same LeBron James who sided with China — the land of human rights violations and where protesters are currently being beaten in the streets — when former NBA player Enes Kantar spoke out against China when it threatened to invade Taiwan.
You guessed it, I’m sure. LeBron (and the NBA) makes millions of dollars in China.

The Buffaloes […]
