LAMM AT LARGE: The Jaguars Are Building Something

todayNovember 30, 2022

Background
Usually, it takes hindsight to see when an NFL franchise changes directions  – for the good or bad. But this time the change clubbed us over the head.
I truly believe the Jaguars incredible comeback in defeating the visiting Ravens last Sunday was a major turning point, particularly for quarterback Trevor Lawrence. He was brilliant in the 4th quarter, right down to the 2-point conversion pass to Zay Jones. To get there, Lawrence converted 3rd-and-22 and 4th-and-5 passes.
His throws were brilliant, perfectly on target into tight windows. None better than the game-winning, 2-point pass to Zay.
This game-winning 75-yard drive in the final two minutes from a team and quarterback who’ve had trouble finishing games. Coach Doug Pederson’s confidence in his QB went right down to going for 2 rather than settle for overtime.
This game erased a lot of disappointing Sundays. And now all arrows are pointed up.
