After only one week, one lousy week, the preseason narrative about the NFL has been shattered.

 

So much for the home-field advantage. Ten of 16 road teams were victorious.

 

So much for the strength of the AFC. The NFC was 5-0 vs. the AFC.

 

So much for close games. Half of the 16 winners won by double digits.

 

So much for the off-the-charts excitement in New York about the Jets acquiring Aaron Rodgers. He lasted four snaps before injuring an Achilles.

 

There were six upsets: the Dolphins beating the Chargers in LA, the Bucs winning at Minnesota, the Lions winning in Kansas City, the Falcons winning at Carolina, the Rams winning in Seattle, and Cleveland blowing out the visiting Bengals.

 

And for what it’s worth, 46 of 57 Super Bowl winners have won their opener.
